Software Engineer I (Cyber Operations Support)

Provide expertise in the deployment of software systems to enable integration of process optimization efforts with Data in support of cyber operations to achieve mission outcomes. Design and implement complex database or data repository interfaces/queries; analyze data flow, data usage and work processes; and investigate relevant problem areas. The SWE1 must be skilled in the use and functionality of Python to implement optimized processes. The SWE1 shall integrate data science into process optimization and business intelligence efforts as a further means of cataloging process improvement changes, capturing new SOPs and products, and facilitating their adoption by stakeholders.

Individual Capabilities/Experience Required:

Submitted candidates must meet the minimum experience and education requirements to qualify for the Software Engineer Level 1 (SWE1) labor category.  Seven (7) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
  • Experience with Python
  • Experience in designing or implementing complex database or data repository interfaces/queries
  • Experience in analyzing data flow, data usage and work processes; and investigating problem areas
  • Ability to analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements
  • This is a full time position requiring 1880 hours of support per year
Individual Capabilities/Experience Desired:
  • Skilled in the utilization of both Jira and Confluence.
  • Knowledge of engineering and executing test procedures for software components
  • Experience in designing and implementing algorithms to meet or exceed system performance and functional standards
  • Experience in Cybersecurity domain is a plus.
  • Experience in designing and implementing algorithms to meet or exceed system performance and functional standards
Current, Active TS/SCI with Polygraph required.
